About Tim Foote and Susymbio
Having worked in a management capacity for more than 15 years at DHL eCommerce, I have accumulated vast knowledge and expertise in ecommerce logistics operations and have spearheaded solutions for many multinational e-commerce clients. My operational knowhow extends to process improvement facilitation, quality management, and vendor management.
In my additional role as the first regional Head of Go Green for DHL eCommerce, I was able to lead the sustainability program as a recognized leader in the logistics industry. During my tenure, I put in place a number of programs for DHL, including carbon footprint management, sustainability training, employee engagement, and industry leadership building.
When I ventured to set up Susymbio in early 2020, I did it with a firm belief that businesses can achieve commercial success by working with nature instead of simply exploiting it. In fact, the name Susymbio is a deliberate choice to reflect this ethos: by combining the words sustainable (sustainable business being my mantra) and symbiotic (as in having a mutually beneficial relationship), I hope to support my clients and help them build their businesses into sustainable successes that benefit both their bottom lines and our planet earth. Susymbio is a REGENERATIVE business!
My Clients
The Susymbio client portfolio reflects how I am able to bring my logistics operations expertise to a wide range of businesses, from for-profit MNCs to non-profit organizations.
I have helped B2C delivery companies (Post+, UBI Smart Parcel, Ninja Van Express, Globavend HK) develop their networks via my connections in the industry. I have also worked to support ASEAN regional resilience by working as the logistics working group moderator for Grow Asia. Most importantly, I work currently as a logistics sustainability expert with South Pole.
Projects like these are well suited to my experience. They use my skills not only in freight forwarding, supply chain, and e-commerce; but also my skills as a process improvement advisor and sustainability expert. Even during my days at the University of Tennessee, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in logistics and transportation, moving products and moving ideas have been important to me.
Conservation
I support conservation organisations such as the Singapore Wildcat Action Group, Jane Goodall Institute Singapore, as well as Singapore NParks. I do that by volunteering time to activities for them. I really love it - also it is part of Susymbio's regenerative mission.
